Declutter your Gutters, Drainpipes and Grids
Trillions of once beautiful autumn leaves have now been shed and whilst most make their way harmlessly to nature’s earth as intended, some land in our Gutters Drainpipes and Grids. Often out of clear view on your roof, they are frequently welcomed by longer terms residents Mr Moss and Mrs Lichen not to mention a host of other undesirable vegetation and obstructions.
Not only do blockages prevent rain water from escaping efficiently from our roofs, they gather weight and cause damage to fixings and downspouts, especially the more fragile plastic versions. Apart from this, when the designated escape route is clogged, rain water will quickly divert. That can mean entering our homes and no one wants that with Christmas just around the corner.
Climbing ladders is not everyone’s cup of tea and can certainly be a hazardous pursuit. We recommend engaging an expert in this area with suitable equipment, training and of course insurance cover.
The best form of defence is attack. So we recommend you act before our winter weather arrives in earnest.
